Itinerary
Hold onto your hats, because Day 1 of your adventure in Sri Lanka is going to be a wild ride! After landing at the airport, you'll be met by a representative from Ceylon Serenity Tours and whisked away to the bustling city of Colombo. But don't worry, there's plenty of time for fun and shopping as you take a tour of the city. From towering skyscrapers to ancient temples, there's something for everyone. And after a day of exploring, you'll get to kick back and relax at your hotel in Colombo. Bon appétit and sweet dreams!
Day 2 of your adventure! After breakfast, you're off to Kandy, but not before stopping at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage to hang out with some majestic creatures. Then, you'll explore Kandy, the hill capital and the final bastion of the Sinhala Kings. Don't miss the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, home to a sacred tooth that's been treasured for centuries. Plus, you'll get to enjoy a cultural show - how cool is that? Finally, settle in for a cozy dinner and a good night's sleep at your Kandy hotel.
Day 3 begins with a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, spanning over 67 hectares and home to more than 4000 plant species, it's a paradise for nature lovers. Then, head to Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England", where you'll witness stunning views of mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and tea plantations. On the way, you'll stop at a tea estate and factory to learn about the tea-making process. Nuwara Eliya is famous for its British influence, with houses resembling English cottages and mansions. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the cool weather. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Get ready for some wild adventure on Day 4 as you head from Nuwara Eliya to Yala. In the afternoon, go on a thrilling jeep safari at Yala National Park, where you'll witness the diverse fauna of the region. Keep your eyes peeled for various species of birds like flamingoes, pelicans, cormorants, and herons. You'll also spot wild elephants, buffalo, and even peafowls. Yala is truly a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, and you're in for a treat. After an exciting day, enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at a hotel in Tissamaharama or Yala.
Get ready for some sun, sea and sand! On Day 05 of your Sri Lankan adventure, you'll head to Galle for some beach time. But first, take a city tour of Galle and discover its rich history as a major port town. Visit the lighthouse and harbor or take a stroll around the old town to see traditional lace makers and wood carvers.
